Radio York at Gilling East Village Hall

Julia Lewis from Radio York came to the village hall on 24th January 2022, the first day of this year’s Village Halls Week. Julia broadcast live from the hall a number of times during the Radio York breakfast show.

She spoke with Simon, our Treasurer, about the history of the hall and how the hall is used. Rick talked about the eco aspects of the hall and Julia also spoke to Grace and Jo about all the events and groups that use the hall.

Mike from the Ryedale Society of Model Engineers brought down his model diesel train and showed Julia how to drive the train around the track that circles the village hall.
